Hello!
My work task is measure fule gas volume in Nm3/h. Q=3200Nm3/h, P=25bar, t=30C, pipe size is 89mm. For this measurment i want use orifice plate. DP meter for this i choose Rosemount 3095mv with FF protocol.
In our plant SCADA system is build to Siemens Simantic S7-400 PLC.
For communication from transmitter to PLC i want use Rosemount 3420.
I dont have experience with FF.
My quesstion is:
1) It is possible to read from 3095mv total volume in Nm3/h?
2) Maybe is another way how i can connect 3095mv to PLC?

I have not used the FF 3095, but the standard FF AI block will allow you to convert from transducer units to any unit, provided a linear or square root relationship exists (linear in your case).

In one application where I use the mass flow calculation capability of a 3051S, the transducer units are lb/s. Transducer blocks are usually fussy about what units are used in the AI block for the XD_Scale (XD = transducer). I convert lb/s to MPPH (thousands of pounds per hour) by scaling the OUT_SCALE of the AI block appropriately.

XD_SCALE = 0 - 125 lb/s
OUT_SCALE = 0 - 450 MPPH
L_TYPE (linearization type) = indirect

2) Maybe is another way how i can connect 3095mv to PLC?

If you buy a 3095 with Profibus PA capability, that might be another way.

Thanks for help :)
*** i understand if use 3095FB with profibus configuration to get flow in Nm3/h i need use flow computer to calculate from all parametrs.
3095mv flow computer is inside.
