I am unaware of the course or its content, but Mr. Dumdie is a regular contributor to this forum.
These (http://www.fieldbus.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=93&Itemid=210) are the "certified" training providers, but a number of others, including vendors, have a lot of material. Some of it is free (http://www.easydeltav.com/keytechnologies/fieldbus/tutorial.asp). "Plantweb University" (http://plantweb.emersonprocess.com/university/default.asp)is Emerson-specific but the concepts are braodly applicable.
The nice thing about courses offered at Lee College, SAIT, etc. is the availability of a few different systems in a vendor-neutral environment.

Paulxolani,
Thank you for using our Foundation Fieldbus Concepts (FFC) training. As far as we know, it is still the only stand-alone self-paced CD-ROM training available on the subject in a graphical multimedia (http://www.hmtutorials.com/flash/downloads/downloads.htm)(audio/video) presentation format. It provides comprehensive generic (non-vendor specific) training on fieldbus technology (http://www.hmtutorials.com/flash/tour/HMT.html), covering the physical, user, and communication stack layers in detail. It includes a complete PDF text as well. Hightech Multimedia Tutorials (http://www.hmtutorials.com) also provides a light edition of the tutorial for those who need not get into the nitty-gritty details of the communication stack (e.g. an excellent choice for sales personnel).
FFC is available from multiple sources. Paul Sikhakhane (paul.sikhakhane@vodamail.co.za) is our latest reseller in South Africa; FFC is also available from Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000QRUQV0), ISA (http://www.isa.org/Template.cfm?Section=Distance_Learning1&template=/Ecommerce/ProductDisplay.cfm&ProductID=7303), and OMAC (http://www.omac.org/Template.cfm?Section=Distance_Learning1&template=/Ecommerce/ProductDisplay.cfm&ProductID=7303) (Organization for Machine Automation and Control). For educational institutions (or anyone preferring on-line training), we offer distance learning (http://www.hmtutorials.com/distance/detail.htm) in Real Media format with access to all training materials on our web site. We can also provide SCORM compliant exams (http://www.hmtutorials.com/exams/ffc-intro1/ffc-intro1.html) suitable for instructor testing of student progress. I hope this helps.
