FYI, we have been approached by two vendors for Fieldbus wiring components i.e MTL and P&F to utilised their product for our new Fieldbus project. We would really appreciate if somebody out there can share their experiences using both products. We are very new in this kind of technology and our concerned is plant reliability. Appreciate if anbody could help us to make the right decision.

Dear Jamsari,
my name is Andreas Agostin, I am product manager with Pepperl+Fuchs Singapore.
I would be pleased if you contact me by email: aagostin@sg.pepperl-fuchs.com so that I can share our recent project references with you.
The tremendous success of FieldConnex is based on the fact that Pepperl+Fuchs can provide a reliable Fieldbus network solution not only for the non-hazardous area or Zone 2, but also for Zone 1 and Zone 0.
With a straight-forward topology and a minimized number of units, FieldConnex provides highest-reliable power to the network following the "passive concept", ensures communication in the fieldbus network even in case of failures, and supports all fieldbus concepts like Entity, FISCO or FNICO.
The reliability, simplicity and universality, and all from a single manufacturer, are the convincing factors for our customers.

I would be pleased to discuss our FieldConnex solution with you. Alternatively, you can contact me to get the FieldConnex CD-ROM with further information, or visit the dedicated www.fieldconnex.info (http://www.fieldconnex.info) website.

Hi Jamsari, We do our fieldbus installations with non-incendive wiring blocks whose spurs are short circuit protected and can be live-disconnected in Class1 Zone2 areas. Plus, we want a certain wiring block form/fit/finish for our JB installations. We have been using Relcom/MTL fieldbus power supplies and wiring blocks - but we've just started using Hawke wiring blocks and also have started working with P+F. I think your choices should involve the 'field proven-ness' of the products and if they fit your power redundancy, wiring & installation practices.
