We are installing three continuous weighing scales for belt conveyors and our client requires that all instrumentation equipment be capable of connecting to a Foundation Fieldbus. However, none of the scale providers that I know of are listed in Foundation's page; also, none of them appears to "talk" Foundation FB, though they do talk other protocols, namely Profibus, DeviceNet and others.
Does anyone know of a brand of weigh scales that supports Foundation Fieldbus? Can anything like a protocol converter or adapter be used to let any weigh scale to communicate via the FFB?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any.

We (SMAR) make a converter from 4-20 mA to H1 Fieldbus. Also, the DFI302 linking device at the heart of SYSTEM302 supports Modbus/RTU and Modbus/TCP but it requires your control system to support HSE Fieldbus.

Another alternative is for your to use TT302 Fieldbus temperature transmitters as a mV input direct from the load cells and then compute the weight based on the raw reading.
