Hi everyone,
After reading service manual for sensor Promass-83 with Fieldbus protocol I have some questions:
Is some relation between variable position in E+H matrix and block \ name of FF variable?
Is a warranty, that all variable from E+H matrix is available via the FF protocol?

Best regard, Andrey.

PS: sorry for my English!

not all the variables can be seen via FF, we can only access the objects that can be read.

We can access objects from the device via the bus by the FMS READ service.

Doesn't the manual have a section on the block parameters? I'm sure it is on the web...

You can open the device offline in a configuration tool like Syscon in SMAR SYSTEM302. I find e.g. this device has a transduer block containing 150 parameters which is quite a bit (flows, totals, passwords, diagnostics, configuration, calibration, simulation, user interface, sensor data, and identifications). It also supports 7 AI blocks for variables you can used for closed loop control.

Users can use this trick to see what the device is capable of. All you got to do is get the DD from the FF web site. Although some device have pretty cryptic parameter names, this tool is able to show the DD help provided with many devices.

The manual has only a few parameters illustrated operation via FF.
Thanks for comprehensive answer above!
Andrey.
