Hi

My FF segments have both Yokogawa devices ( YF100 ) with the same rev number (Rev 2) but one with the PID block in the devices and three other devices without the PID. The control system is a DeltaV.

The current capability file in use can access the device with the PID.

Is there a capability file that can accesss both device?

Your Emerson rep would probably be your best resource. I have seen many Yokogawa devices tested with DeltaV in Austin. If there are issues they would likely know about it.

Were all the devices purchased at one time (same "vintage" that is)? What exactly is the problem? They won't commission? Won't download? When you place a device in "standby" you should be able to view the rev number in DeltaV explorer and / or Diagnostics. You can double-check that they are the revision you expected. You may need to adjust the "placeholder" properties to reflect the precise version of the instrument.

Thanks for the reply.

The solution to this problem was the initial setup of the Fieldbus H1 card. The series 2 card was originally setup as a series 1 card. By changing this setting and using the capability file on the DeltaV website for the devices, the system was able to download the devices.
