Ivan,
Dirk was expressing some confusion at your question, which I guess is something about wanting to make a Rosemount 3420 communicate properly to a Yokogawa EJA110F dp transmitter. Does that sound right? Is the 3420 recognizing the EJA at all or does it think it is something else?

Hi Ivanoxford,
Looking at Emerson's website (http://www.emersonprocess.com/rosemount/products/accessories/m3420.html)
I see the 3420 being used exclusively with Rosemount field devices. Like a gateway between FOUNDATION Fieldbus Rosemount devices and Modbus.
Is there anyone at Emerson would like to correct or add to this?
 Note: The 3420 is not a registered FOUNDATION Fieldbus device.

Ivanoxford,
The 3420 makes every effort to be compatible with all Foundation Fieldbus devices. The latest release (2.3.19) allows for the upload of device specific DD's for full functionality of non-Rosemount devices. If you have detailed questions, I can answer those offline.
