View Full Version : "Block Structure" Discrepancy between CS3000/ALF111 and FVP110

Hello, :)

The “block structure”, between the devices on the HOST project database (CS3000/ALF111) and the physical device (FVP110) on the FF-H1 segment, are tiny different, Even though we tried couples of equalization. But the discrepancy remains.

The device, DD and CFF files reversion are 0x03, 0x01, and 0x06 used on the host computer (Fieldbus builder). The reversions of device and DD file of the physical device (FVP110) are read as 0x03 and 0x01. The CFF file reversion cannot be read from the device. This physical device (FVP110) doesn’t support “block instaniation” or “firmware update”.

The question is how to remove the discrepancy between the project database and the physical device, or if we get the right revserion of DD and CFF files, or anything else we can do?

Thanks in advance

Peter,

I'm not sure what you mean by "block structure". Do you mean some parameters exist in one (database) but not in the other (device)? I do not use CS3000, but on our system the "host" PID block, for example, has more parameters than a "device" PID.

One would think that if you have the proper DD for the device you're using, it should appear correctly in the database - assuming you have "assigned" it to a device. I think you need to contact Yokogawa about this.

Thanks, rezabejd

the discrepancy is that, the prifile number of Resource Block of project database (pick up from DD/CFF file) is 0x0133, but inisde the physical device it is 0x010B.

it seems the DD/CFF doesn't match excalty.
also we are looking for help from yokogawa and Masoneilian.

Peter,

This block structure difference I encounter in my project here hawiyah saudi, all you need to do is to make sure that you have the lates CF/DD file installed/copied on your project database. Then you have to update CF/DD file for the device that have discrepancies in block structure. This CF/DD files usually you can ask from the vendor of the devices itself.

Peter,

Are you using the DD/CFF files registered with the Fieldbus Foundation?

For the version of FVP110 that you describe, we have DD files at revision 06 on our website:
http://www.fieldbus.org/index2.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewlink&link_id=694&ffbstatus=Registered

The profile of the resource block is described as 0x0133 in the CFF. The device would have failed the ITK test case for the CFF if the Profile Number did not match the firmware.
